Our Story.

Mosaic Bespoke was founded by Kevin Edge, who has over 25 years experience working across residential construction and property development.

Kevin began his career delivering smaller residential projects before progressing into larger developments and more complex schemes. Over time, he identified a recurring problem: clients commissioning bespoke projects were often being let down by builders without the experience, systems, or planning expertise required to deliver them properly.

Rather than scale indiscriminately, Mosaic Bespoke was established to focus specifically on this underserved middle ground, where bespoke projects demand a higher level of technical understanding, planning knowledge, and structured delivery than most traditional building firms can offer.

A Considered Approach to Bespoke New Homes

At Mosaic Bespoke, we don’t approach new homes as standard construction projects. Every commission is treated as a unique response to its site, planning context, and the people who will live there.

Our process is deliberately planning-led. By investing time upfront to understand constraints, opportunities, and long-term objectives, we help our clients make informed decisions before significant costs are committed.

The result is greater certainty, reduced risk, and bespoke homes that are not only beautifully designed, but practical, durable, and built to perform for decades to come.

Frequently Asked Questions.

What makes Mosaic Bespoke different?

Mosaic Bespoke was established to work on residential projects that sit between traditional small builders and large-scale developers. Our focus is on projects that require planning expertise, structured delivery, and careful coordination rather than standardised approaches.

What types of projects do you typically work on?

We work on one-off residential projects that require early-stage planning, feasibility assessment, and a considered approach to delivery. These often include replacement dwellings, bespoke new homes, and carefully planned redevelopments.

Why is your approach planning-led?

Planning constraints and opportunities often define whether a project is viable. By addressing these factors early, we help clients understand what is realistically achievable before committing to detailed design or construction.

Do you work with private clients or developers?

We primarily work with private clients and landowners. Our role is often to help clients navigate complexity early and provide clarity before significant decisions are made.

Do you offer initial consultations or site visits?

Initial enquiries are handled through our project enquiry process. This allows us to review the relevant information and determine whether a project is a good fit before progressing further.

Where are you based and where do you work?

We are based in Hertfordshire and work across the county and surrounding areas. Our local knowledge supports our planning-led approach across a range of site contexts.

How many projects do you take on at once?

We deliberately limit the number of projects we work on at any one time. This allows us to maintain quality, provide clear communication, and give each project the attention it requires.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

We review all enquiries carefully. If your project aligns with our expertise and approach, we will be in touch to outline next steps and discuss the project appraisal process.
